I run the customer side of pest control businesses. Phones, texts and email, handled by my team from your service plans and your pricing. We also make follow-up and renewal calls that never quite happen when the office is busy.
From $495/month
Somebody finds a swarm on a Saturday morning and calls three companies off Google. Two go to voicemail. The third one picks up and gets the job.
And every spring the phone fills up with “flying ants” that turn out to be termite swarmers. Each of those calls is an inspection waiting to be booked, and it won't wait until Monday.
The rest of it is quieter. A tech finishes a treatment and nobody calls the customer to ask whether it worked. A renewal reminder goes out late. Someone calls on a Thursday wanting to cancel and hears back the following week, by which time they've found somebody else.
Your office isn't doing anything wrong. There are only so many hours in a day and the phone takes all of them.
The desk. Calls, texts and email, handled as your company. Booking and rescheduling, questions about service plans, prices off your own list, billing questions, WDI inspection requests for home sales.
The follow-up. This is the part that usually doesn't happen. A check-in after every stop to make sure the problem is actually gone. Renewal reminders that go out before the date. Same-day response when somebody asks to cancel. Review requests, but only to customers who've already told us they're happy.
85.4% of residential pest control revenue is recurring.1 So the renewal conversation is worth more than almost anything else in the week, and it's usually the first thing to get dropped.
We start with about three hours of your time. Your service plans, your pricing, your treatment protocols, how you like customers spoken to. That becomes a set of approved answers, and it belongs to you.
Here's what happens in a few everyday situations.
A customer texts asking if you can come out Thursday. It gets an answer from your approved answers. On the After-Hours Desk the reply is automated. On Full Desk, a person on my team reads it before it goes out.
You're under a house and the phone rings out. With voice, our voice agent calls them back within fifteen minutes, finds out what they need and sends you the details. On Full Desk + Voice, the agent picks up while it's still ringing. It works only from your approved answers and never quotes a price that isn't on your list.
With voice, the agent offers your next open arrival window and texts you the request. You reply to approve it, turn it down or pick another time, and then the customer gets a text to confirm. Nothing is booked until you say yes. Reschedules work the same way.
On Full Desk + Voice, they get one. Between 8am and 8pm Eastern, Monday to Friday, someone on my team takes over the call. Outside those hours, a person calls them back within fifteen minutes.
The agent doesn't try to handle it. It goes straight to a person: to you on the After-Hours plans, to my team first from Full Desk up. The same goes for refunds, chemical exposure and property damage. The full list is below.
With the Retention Engine, the customer gets a check-in a few days later. If the problem's back and your plan covers a re-service (the kind of callback your techs actually mean), we offer them your next open window and you approve it with a one-word text, like any booking. If they're unhappy with the tech or the treatment, it comes straight to you in their own words. We never argue with a customer or promise anything on your behalf.
On the After-Hours plans, a person on my team checks the agent's texts, emails and calls every two hours, 8am to 8pm Eastern, Monday to Friday.
You get a report: what came in, how quickly it was answered, what got renewed, what got saved, and anything we passed to you.
On the call I'll walk you through a live one.
Cancellations. Refunds. Anything to do with chemical exposure, whether it's a child, a pet, a reaction, or a smell somebody's worried about. Property damage.
Those four go straight to a person the moment they're recognized. On the After-Hours plans, that person is you. From Full Desk up, it's my team first, and anything serious comes straight to you. Nobody guesses.
On every plan, office hours mean Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm Eastern. Everything else is after hours.
After-Hours Desk. Texts and email answered automatically, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or only after hours if you'd rather your office keeps the daytime. Add voice and our agent calls back every missed call within fifteen minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A person checks the agent's work every two hours during office hours.
Full Desk + Voice. Every call is picked up as it rings, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During office hours, a person takes over whenever a caller asks. After hours, a person calls back within fifteen minutes.
I'm spelling that out because “24/7 live answering” gets sold all over this market and usually means the same thing. Some commercial contracts require a person picking up at 3am. If yours does, we can staff that shift. Ask and I'll price it, rather than quietly not doing it.
Same goes the other way. If you'd rather have somebody listening in while calls are happening instead of waiting to be asked for, that's a staffed shift on your account and it gets priced on its own. Tell me on the call and I'll give you a number.
Texts and email answered automatically from your approved answers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or only outside office hours if you prefer. A person on my team checks the replies every two hours, 8am to 8pm Eastern, Monday to Friday. Anything it can't handle goes to your office. A monthly report on what came in.
Everything in the After-Hours Desk, plus our voice agent calls back every missed call within fifteen minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It books visits with your approval: it offers your next open arrival window, you approve by text, and schedule changes work the same way. Includes up to 300 call minutes a month. A person checks its calls every two hours, 8am to 8pm Eastern, Monday to Friday.
The follow-up side. Check-ins after every stop, renewal reminders, same-day response when someone asks to cancel, review requests, and a monthly save-rate report. Sent Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm in your customer's time zone, and a person approves every batch.
Everything in the After-Hours Desk + Voice and the Retention Engine, plus every text and email handled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and read by a person before it sends. Answered within fifteen minutes from 8am to 8pm Eastern, Monday to Friday, within two hours the rest of the time.
Everything in Full Desk, plus every call picked up as it rings, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. From 8am to 8pm Eastern, Monday to Friday, a person takes over whenever a caller asks. After hours, a person calls back within fifteen minutes.
Dedicated cover, a number and reporting line for each branch, priority response, and a quarterly review. From ten branches up, it's $900–$1,200 per branch.
Setup. Every plan starts with a one-time setup fee: $249 for the After-Hours plans, $499 for the Retention Engine, $749 for Full Desk, $999 for Full Desk + Voice, and $999 plus $249 for each extra branch on Multi-Branch. It covers connecting your phone line, registering it for texting, building your approved answers and testing everything with you. Half of it comes off your third month's bill. If you move up a plan later, you only pay the difference between the two setup fees.
Call minutes. 300 a month are included on After-Hours Desk + Voice, the Retention Engine and Full Desk, and 1,500 on Full Desk + Voice. Multi-Branch is set per branch. Extra minutes are $0.90 each, on every plan.
Rate lock. Your monthly rate is locked for 12 months from the day you sign.
Where you land depends on volume and whether you want the phones covered. I'll tell you on the first call, and if the honest answer is the $495 tier then that's what I'll say.
PestDesk is run by Vantage Desk Operations LLC, a Wyoming company, and our team works from Karachi, Pakistan. It's a huge, lively city, it's home, and in my completely unbiased opinion it makes the best biryani in the world. If you're curious about any of it, ask me on the call.
You'll talk to me, not a sales team. Once we're working together, I stay your direct line. A customer you're worried about, a change to your prices, anything that doesn't feel right: text me and I'll handle it personally.
It depends on the plan. The After-Hours Desk is automated and works only from your approved answers, and a person checks its replies and calls every two hours during office hours. From Full Desk up, a person reads every text and email before it sends. On Full Desk + Voice, any caller who wants a person gets one.
They're trained on your business before they touch a call. Your plans, your pricing, your protocols, how you handle things. They're not licensed applicators and they won't pretend to be. Anything needing a licensed opinion comes to you.
Before you sign anything, I'll show you the system running on a screen share. Once we start, we agree your targets in writing, like how fast calls and messages get answered, and every monthly report shows you exactly how we did against them.
On written replies, that's what the review step is for. On the phone, the agent only works from what you've approved. If a mistake still reaches a customer, we tell you, review it within 24 hours, and fix whatever caused it. The full incident goes in your monthly report, along with what we changed.
We answer as your company, since that's what you're hiring us for. Nobody claims to be in your office. If a customer asks straight out, they're told they're speaking to your customer care team.
We don't replace anything, and we don't need to plug in to be useful. Where your software allows it, we connect directly. If it doesn't, even an older in-house system, bookings and messages reach your office as a clear summary to enter, and a regular export of your customer list is enough to run the follow-ups.
No. Your customers keep calling and texting the number they already know. Calls you miss forward to us, and when we call someone back, it shows your number. For texting, we either text-enable your current number or, if your phone company doesn't allow that, set up a text line in your company's name and help you add it to your website and invoices.
About three weeks. First week we go through your plans and protocols and build the approved answers. Second week we shadow: we handle things and you review before anything sends. Third week we go live on whichever channels you picked.
You do. Your customer records and the approved answers we build are yours, and you take them with you if you ever leave. We never sell your data or use it for anyone else's account. Only the people working on your account can see it, and if you ask us to delete it, we do.
Every number is registered, and consent is tracked for each customer. When someone replies STOP, they're opted out right away by a fixed rule, not left to the AI. Nothing gets texted to a customer who hasn't agreed to hear from you.
Yes. The After-Hours Desk is $495 a month for texts and email answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or $795 with our voice agent also calling back your missed calls and booking visits with your approval. It's an easy way to see how we work with your customers, and you can add more whenever you're ready.
It's a short call. You tell me how calls, texts and follow-ups work at your company today, where things slip through, and what you'd change if you could. I'll tell you which parts we can take off your plate and what that would cost. If it's a fit, we'll plan the next step together.
Or email hello@pestdeskhq.com. Either one reaches me.
